July 4, noon to 3 p.m.: American Legion Auxiliary Unit 62 will provide free hot dogs for veterans and their families at the Cowen American Legion building. The public is invited to stop by and celebrate Independence Day.
July 5, 2:00 pm:There will be a reunion at Lela Millers house on McGuire Mountain (1412 Webster Road) on Saturday, July 5, 2026 at 2:00. Come and bring a dish (or not) and join us. We will be having an auction also. All are welcome!
July 11, 6 p.m: The Webster County Democratic Executive Committee will be holding its monthly meeting and annual officer election at the Timber Heritage Museum. ALL are welcome
July 15, 6 to 8 p.m: The Webster County Soccer Club will host a free pool party at Bakers Island. The event will include pizza and drinks, and fall soccer sign-ups will be available.
July 15, noon to 6 p.m.: The third annual Poolside Palooza will be held at the Baker-Addison Pool. The free family event will feature swimming, a bounce house, food, drinks and other activities. The community swim day is sponsored by Camden Family Health.
July 18, 1 to 5 p.m: Dr. Jekyll’s Institute of Monster Studies will offer a free walk-through monster museum at the Windy Gap Schoolhouse at Holly River State Park. Visitors can learn about West Virginia cryptids and other monsters from pop culture. For more information, call the Holly River State Park office at 304-493-6353.
